A: Hydroelectric energy is created by converting the kinetic energy of falling or moving water into electricity. The amount of electricity generated by water sources will be use in the household.

A: Any source of flowing water can be used to generate hydropower for your home, even small streams with the use of micro hydro equipment. However the larger the water source is, the larger the amount of power you will be able to generate. If you do not have any flowing water available to you on your property we recommend that you ask your local power company about using hydro power to cut down on emissions to preserve our environment.

Q: What is “micro hydro” equipment?
A: Micro hydro equipment is a equipment used in areas that do not t have high-volume water supplies nearby but still want to utilize hydropower.  They work the same way as normal hydropower equipment, but just in low-volume water areas.
