Valyceum Holdings LLC and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Renewable Realty, specialize in the marketing and development of clean energy residences and communities.  Valyceum is a small company that focuses on the development and implementation of economic and sustainability best practices across Maine, New York and—most recently—Florida. In addition to our groundbreaking approaches to property development, Valyceum serves as a loan office for installers of clean energy upgrades—giving them the opportunity to offer financing for their customers. Renewable Realty deals with marketing both new construction and retrofit properties.  Valyceum also provides consulting services for small, start up companies that focus on clean energy solutions and healthy community investments.
            While the Valyceum team has over 130 years of accumulated experience in $25MM+ of real estate investing and development, the company itself began in June of 2006 with the purchase and renovation of an apartment building in Limestone, Maine.  Valyceum overhauled the building, rebuilding walls, rehabilitating several units, building a new roof, and reworking the electrical and plumbing systems.  The property is currently fully occupied.
            From here, Valyceum sought to devote its resources to the renovation of property using innovative, green technologies, and the development of new communities based on the concept of renewable, clean energy use and sustainable practices.
            Valyceum is investing heavily in a 2313-acre portfolio of lots in Southwestern Maine. Among the picturesque mountains and lakes, we are constructing elegant, amenable homes and sustainable communities within an hour from Portland and two hours from Boston. These communities feature heated driveways, on-site energy supply, and are permanently free from utility-bills; prices start at $189,100 and government incentives are currently available for significant down payment assistance.

In 332 BCE, Aristotle founded the school Lyceum as a place for philosophical discourse and Athenian assembly. There he built the first library and university in recorded history. At this place, Aristotle founded the concept of logic and established the foundations for biology, political science and literary theory.

The prefix va is from the Latin valeo, valiturus: to be strong, have power and be well. Other uses of va include the French "goes" as in "she goes to a lecture."

Vision

Valyceum envisions a future where the public can enjoy districts of residences, businesses and public transportation lines that are completely powered by clean energy.  These communities will be linked to the traditional power grid for backup power, and will exchange excess energy with neighbors.  Valyceum envisions these districts as world class centers of economic and ecological stability.  These developments will also serve as beacons for robust entrepreneurial activity in the “green collar” sector.
